In a survey on our Facebook page, we asked readers to tell us about their favourite Finnish bands. Here are the top 10, compiled from the thousands of answers that poured in.
Since the letkajenkka dance craze in the s (yes, really, Google it – we dare you), Finland has turned out the occasional popular artist who captured the imagination of the world, but over the last dozen years or so, more and more bands have managed to break through internationally in their own genres.
With so many Finnish bands out there, playing to packed rooms of ravers, metalheads, indie kids and fans in countless other scenes, let’s look at who topped our survey:

Killer var en finländskrockgrupp bildad i Helsingfors och upplöst i början av Under sin karriär arbetade gruppen tätt med en lokal musikförening vid namn Dynasty, och fick ett par framgångsrika singlar i hemlandet, däribland "All I Want", "Fire" och "Naughty Boy".
Historia
Killer bildades av sångaren och pianisten Siiri Nordin, gitarristen Tuomas "Tumppi" Norvio, basisten Timo Huhtala och trummisen Teijo Jämsä. Bandets manager och producent var The Rasmus-medlemmarna Lauri Ylönen och Pauli Rantasalmi medan Nordin skrev merparten av alla låttexter. Debutsingeln, "Hurricane", kom ut i februari och följdes upp i augusti med hiten "All I Want". Senare det året släpptes även debutalbumet Sickeningly Pretty & Unpleasantly Vain. Albumet uppnådde nionde placeringen på den finländska albumlistan.[1]
Deras andra album, Sure You Know How to Drive This Thing, gavs ut under och innehöll singeln "Naughty Boy", som kom att bli en av de mest spelade låtarna på finsk radio sommaren och lyckades även nå förstaplatsen på musiklistan MTV UpNorth. Albumet toppade föregångaren med två placeringar på finländska albumlista
